About the Journal

The Indian Journal of Skin Allergy (IJSA) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Eczemas and Skin Allergy. The journal is owned by the Skin Allergy Research Society, India and Society for Eczema Studies, India and is published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

Established in 2021, the Indian Journal of Skin Allergy (IJSA, E-ISSN 2831-7947) is the official joint publication of the Skin Allergy Research Society and Society of Eczema Studies. It is a biannual (six monthly) peer-reviewed journal. The purpose of IJSA is to disseminate scientific dialogue related to Eczema and skin allergy amongst dermatologists through the medium of publication of different types of manuscripts including review articles, clinical studies, case reports, case series or other relevant articles as well as to disseminate continuous medical education to its members, dermatologists in general and postgraduate students.. In this process, the Skin Allergy Research Society and Society for Eczema Studies are committed to publish only authenticated and peer reviewed scientific material of high standard for the clinicians and postgraduate students.

Audience

Our target audience includes all researchers and practitioners managing patients with Eczema and Skin Allergy.

Review Process

IJSA has a highly rigorous peer-review process that makes sure that manuscripts are scientifically accurate, relevant, novel and important. Authors disclose all conflicts, affiliation and financial associations such that the published content is not biased. Even the review/CME articles submitted by members on national or international advisory board of the journal will be subjected to peer review like any other submission before publication.

Editorial Team

The editorial board comprises a panel of experts from various disciplines of skin allergy to provide their expertise and guidance in maintaining the clarity of content and focus of the purpose for the journal.

It is a peer-reviewed international journal with a double-blind review process. Its frequency of publication is semiannual, what that means is, it publishes the article once it’s accepted after peer review. The Indian Journal of Skin Allergy (IJSA) published in E-Journal format and the journal is also available in print on demand.

The Indian Journal of Skin Allergy is committed to meeting and upholding the standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. Plagiarism Policy

The journal uses plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system which is used to check and control Plagiarism for each article. Any manuscript, that is found to have plagiarism is rejected.

We use PORTICO for our third-party repository for all articles published with us. All our articles are assigned a DOI number. We are members of https://crossref.org

Indian Journal of Skin Allergy is an open-access journal, and manuscripts published are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 4.0 License (CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0), which allows others to remix, transform, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Indian Journal of Skin Allergy has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
